T80 Virtus Armour has made its way to Treasure Hunter...
« on: September 19, 2019, 09:47:14 »
Despite protests over at /r/Runescape, Tier-80 Virtus Armour, which is similar to Lucky Chaotics, has made its way to Runescape.

Funny how there doesn't seem to be a News Post about this current promotion...Hmmmmm...

I regret coming back to this game - don't get me wrong, I love the game and the players, but the company just doesn't listen to the community and are continuously killing off the game.

I watched a video the other day about how Jagex as a company are milking money out of players. And if they continue to do so, the game will die as drops, awards and accomplishments will all be worth nothing anymore.

I have seen a couple of games do this, they ruin content or remove it completely and then expect a player to pay money for TH items.

Apparently, they said they would stop making TH so OP, but clearly that is not their true intentions. (something to do with investors?)

Its a real shame.

I think this is the video Amy is referring to.  I've watched it too and it was interesting, worth watching.

A friend of mine ragequit RS3 because of this, sold his bank and went straight to OSRS. It's like they are intentionally trying to push these players away, just for money.

Here's a nice video on the situation...

I'm glad people are making videos about this and giving Jagex the negative attention they deserve.

They ruined the integrity of the game long ago. That guy in the video talks about the last 6 months, but the power creep has been going on for YEARS. It's not going to stop and the reality is that they need to find new ways of motivate players. Nobody bats an eye to 99s and hardly even so with 200m achievements. Why? Because they are not particularly time consuming or costly to obtain anymore. TH is a major factor to that. I literally had bonus XP for all of my agil XP until 200m purely from daily keys. This concept of obtaining gear through TH isn't new, but assuming it's something they will do regularly (which they will if people buy into it), really isn't different to lamp promotions. In the end, all it does is devalue your time and effort in the game.
