I think JaGeX are really targeting "newer" players more than the old veterans. Me personally, 4-5 years ago, skilling in F2P was a hell of a grind (not saying it still isn't) and nowadays, with all the updates that come out, I feel personally that they've really evolved their game into something for fun, opposed to how competitive, and hugely populated RuneScape was 5-6 years ago because we had so many pures, combatters, and skillers all trying to grind XP.

Obviously this is my own opinion, but I do think you're right about RuneScape is alot easier nowadays. But as most have said, RuneScape is officially dead. I remember logging in to see 300-390K people on everyday. I wouldn't be suprised if a new person joins RuneScape maybe every month. The only people that still play RuneScape are the younger generation, plus people like us who have been around for years and still quite enjoy scaping. I guess the same goes for WoW etc as well.

I guess we just have to evolve with RuneScape and accept the fact that 99's nowadays don't mean much, and it's all about XP now. :)

I largely agree with this. I still think that RS lacks the feeling of adventure because of its heavily repetitiveness though. When you're new to a game, you want to explore and be challenged. I think this key aspect is missing. Consider combat for example. Monsters die too easily. You can kill a lot of monsters within little time, so you'll constantly be running between loot and attacking NPCs (and the loot is generally bad too). This quickly takes away the pleasure of picking up loot and essentially turns combat into a grind.

That is the most ridiculous MS paint job I've ever seen.

I don't think this belongs on the list:

Dropping items shouldn't be a large part of a skill (and basically every top player would use 3rd party software such as windows mks or AHK for it). You could replace it by make-x though (similar to the bonfire update).

Well, the point was you can't just sit fly fishing for example and spam 1 key. While with mousekeys/ahk/manual requires a lot more effort to stay efficient.
Idk if you've ever done lrc before the action bar update, but it made mining 2x more easy. You don't even have to pay attention to the screen really now.

The game is ridiculously easy..  Pretty much every single skill requires minimal clicking now.  Seren stones for mining are up to 180k xp/h and you prob click 45 times an hour.

Hunter is the only skill in my opinion that is still respectable(doing the most efficient method), because there is no way to afk it. (yet)
