In terms of being a skiller, D5a5n5i5e5l5 and Ixbpoqdxl inspired me to just keep going at a low level. And then for cooking probably currently known as Puns, or Gods Wrath45.

I suppose the user that first pushed/inspired me to get a 99 (Magic) was "Didiee". After that, it was essentially an inner drive that kept me going forward. I detest beginning something and not finishing it, and that is what keeps me around. I feel I've put so much into Runescape, and so I must "finish". On that note, I wonder if I will ever quit...

I think my first inspiration was definitely zzzamorak. I saw his account once and I thought it was so neat that he was a level 3 with all those skills...

I was an old dog who couldn't be taught how to sit. The combat changes from RSC to RS2 were too much for me, so I quit the game and when I returned three years later, I gave combat a try. Combat was still too weird and I decided to create a new account without combat. I didn't know of other skillers. Traditionally in RSC, level 3s were only used as mules and for high stakes

Bliszful and Hot Sub both inspired me to get into skilling and make a skiller.

As for hardcore skilling, S U O M I definitely inspired me to go for high xp in skills & to be efficient while doing it.

Incoming RS history...

I think what inspired me to go for 99's wasn't a person but rather an object. The 99 skillcape of course. Before they were realised i didn't really gave it much thought to max a skill but instead i just lvled up different skills. My first 99 was Firemaking because i loved the cape. I then after that saw Drago Fight4 do the RC emote and i loved it so i got 99 RC cause of that. Having 2 99's then just wanted me to go for a few more easy ones and i also wanted to max combat because i did quite a bit of PvM with my clanmates and irl friends.

As for why i dunged so much was because my friends (Thomas, Robin, Jessie and Ben) forced me to join them because they almost always needed 1 more person for a full team, so i just went with them and i started to like it and i even started to dung on my own without them. I then met Namyaila and Unkrashable which were really good dungers and they executed floors so fast which were rather amazing at the time so i did a lot of floors with them to get better and better and eventually i also got 120 Dungeoneering.

And what "inspired" me to get maxed was actually Dungeoneering. I was rather tired of always calling for someone to open a certain skilldoor and that happened quite often when u had 69 hunter and 71 thieving as 2 of your lowest skills. So i maxed to be able to dung better.

After i got maxed i didn't really know what to do so i was just wondering about doing nothing but standing at GE talking to people. I met Jake trough a friend and we became good friends and i noticed his exp gains and thought i would do the same. So Jake inspired me to go for 200m's  and keep going even when it got boring.

So tl;dr : Inspiration for 99's - Skillcapes.
Inspiration for Dungeoneering - Thomas, Robin, Jessie, Ben and Namyaila and Unkrashable.
Inspiration for Max - To be able to dung better.
               Inspiration for 200m's - Jake.

Originally on my first account (now Hench) I had a friend who was around my level, cb 77, who had 99 Magic and I thought he was awesome! So I always pushed but never actually made it there. I was young then and didn't really have much patience.

I'd seen Zzzamorak around a few times and thought the idea of his account was awesome, so I created my first skiller in around 06. After a few failed attempts I created Yessahh in 2008 and stuck to it since (apart from my stupid combat levelling)! A great old friend of mine was King Skiller3 (I think that's how it was spelt) was also a great part to it because he was a good skiller at the time and pushed me to go on. I also met Omega 3 lvl, who went on to become Net really early on when he was going for his second 99, Hunter, like me and his skiller went onto be almost maxed so I owe a lot to him.. Trying to chase him for years lol!

There were also 2 higher level skillers. Mattizilla, who I got to meet at a Consentus event this year and OneWayMirror (can't remember his first name). They were the first seriously good accounts I'd seen and that was great motivation to keep going!

End long post lol..
