I am working on an invention calculator at the moment. It's going to have three main features:
- Disassembly. You'll be able to select a material and see a list of (almost) all the items that disassemble into it, sorted by cheapest first (along with some other potentially useful info, like cost per component, components per hour etc), with the option to toggle any junk chance reduction.
- Perks. You'll have an interface similar to the in-game perk creation, where you can experiment with different material to see the XP/H and cost for creating those perks, with a bunch of optional toggles.
- Items. Will show the cost of making invention items such as gizmos, rod-o-matic etc, with a bunch of optional toggles
Because of the vast amount of items that can be disassembled into the required components for making perks and invention items, I figured the best approach for those calculators would be to add two toggles. One for the cheapest alternative and the other for popular items disassembled. This means it'll by default load one of them (I'll probably go with popular by default) and you can toggle for the other. I'll also add custom fields so that you can specifically select which items to disassemble (will look something like
this), and the calculator will display how that change affects the GP/XP and XP/H.
So, I need to compile a list of the most popular item to disassemble for each component. Anyone got a spreadsheet for this or know what people typically disassemble?
