Just interested to know what people think of the ironman accounts and whether they will be making one or not.

RS3 versions:

Ironman - Regular do it yourself account, no GE, no trade, no assist, can only pick up your own drops etc.

Hardcore Ironman - On death your account will be no more. Unless you have a safety net, which you have to option of buying at 1k and 1600 total for 100k and 10m gp I believe.

07 versions:

Ironman - Regular do it yourself account, no trading or picking up another players drops.

Ultimate Ironman - On death, all your inventory and equipment is wiped. You can not use the bank ever, therefor you have to do everything within one inventory.

All four options have their own seperate highscore.

I'm not really sure which I want to do. For RS3, the choice can only be the hardcore option. For 07, ultimate ironman would be fun for a while but without being able to bank I think the appeal would soon wear off.
I much prefer the combat style, graphics and clue rewards on 07. Where as RS3 has more content and lodestones (the big plus!).

Does anyone else plan to make one, and if so, which option will you be choosing?

If i ever have time I'd like to try normal iron man mode on oldschool, but for now I won't be creating any due to the lack of time to play.

Might make a normal ironman or hardcore ironman on Rs3.

Diy accs are cool but I think hardcore iron man is too much

the fact safety nets exist for hc iron man is plain retarded, that's why I will not partake in it.

Maybe but 10m is still quite a lot for a second safety net on a pure do it yourself. The only problem is disconnection on the servers behalf for hardmode accounts trying to do quests or bosses or something. I could see me doing Monkey Madness boss and then laptop just switching off as it does for no reason.

Isn't rs3 ironman meant to be out tomorrow? I think the testing for 07 only gets started tomorrow from what I saw on forums but not sure.

pointless update for pointless stuff. It just like people that change their user name more than once and add extra cape by Jagex. Their come to a point where things are  not need  but people will continue to change things and add more just cause they can.  Jagex need to start thinking about benifits.

I was considering to make an ironman skiller at first, but it's not like it changes a whole lot to how I maxed my account in the first place, so I don't think I will
