As some of you know, I unintentionally got combat up. I had to go through a pretty convulated process to even be able to submit a support ticket, and it's really frustrating that they won't even dignify me with a proper reply. Instead I get a copy+paste answer that may have been helpful had I played this game for only a week. So, how exactly do I go about if I want some actual customer support?

I'd suggest e-mailing them directly (if you've not already done this.) In the time i've submitted tickets via e-mail i've always received a proper responce, not one which appears to be automated.

That's one of the issues when they employ people who only know basic queries of the game because they've not actually played it themselves.

If you're that serious about it, I'm sure you could address a letter to them in Cambridge and find a postal address for them on the Jagex website.

Joel might be able to help with this he seemed to contact a lot of people to try for a reset, maybe ask him red, good luck. Kevin siad taht mod pips can do resets so maybe pm him and ask advice.

I have now tried a few ways:
1. Submitting a ticket on the website (convulated process to even manage that). Alas, pointless, they tried to explain to me how Nastroth in Lumbridge works (where you can reset hp, pray and def).
2. Contact a j-mod forum topic (on CLF). Mod Matthe lied and said that no j-mod can reset.
3. Two of their e-mail addresses (both ignored).
4. Mod Tyran on Twitter. He was the only one who was actually helpful. He told me that he went to senior management and they told him no, and that they only do resets if there was a technical issue or a bug. When I tried to argue for a technical issue, he stopped responding.
5. Contacted the French department (i.e. writing to them in French), because a French skiller got reset one week ago, but I got a reply on that today, saying they don't do resets

I feel like I have exhausted all my options now. I didn't really expect a reset, but I honestly expected more sympathy and answers from them.

You shouldn't give up Red, maybe try to contact other JMods on twitter, there is also RuneFest approaching and I'm sure Lilly and others would try to get it for you.

Trying to get a response from Jagex is like finding the golden goose.  Could happen, but so very unlikely.

They unfortunately have some of the worst (non-existent) customer service of any company I have ever dealt with.  No response tends to be their answer for anything.  That was my experience with them as well.
