Hi guys,

I thought I would get everybody's opinions on what they think is the best screen capture software for making videos on RS? I personally have Screenflow but I'm sure you all use others. I'm thinking about making a video series relating to level 3 skillers, including tutorials guides and other stuff level 3 skillers may find useful. I will be doing the tutorials as I learn them myself as I have a lot to catch up on :p.

You don't need anything special, something like Camtasia is more than good enough

Fraps/Camtasia.

With Camtasia you can choose what you want to record, and with Fraps you can just have things like Runescape or any other game you are playing, you can't select a certain area you wan't to record.

I've never heard of fraps before, I'll have to check it out. With Screenflow I can video myself and the screen at the same time which is really cool. I think I might try Camtasia and see how I get along, a few people told me they lagged quite a bit when using camtasia however its more likely to be their computer than the software.

I think OBS could record Runescape, it's an open source recording/streaming software and it's free

Recommend camtasia or dxtory. Most people use fraps but I preferred camtasia.

Fraps is best if you prefer simplicity. Camtasia and some others have more features, but the majority of them can easily be replicated in post-production if you know your way around video editing software.
