Clue scroll general info/tips
In this thread i will go through general tips/tricks and items that help with clue scrolls as well as info on every clue type

Gathering Clue scrolls
Hard clues
killing hellhounds at Taverly resource dungeon - 20 to 30 hard clues per/hr
Requirements -
55 dungeoneering (to access resource dungeon)
70 invention (to unlock coil, isn't a requirement but greatly increases kills per/hr)https://runescape.wiki/w/Oldak_coil
- Magic (AOE) is advised with coil for maximum kills per/hr
Elite clues
Shadow creatures in player resource dungeon - 6 elites per/hr
Requirements-
99 slayer (access to player owned dungeons
5 shadow creature souls (any type) i use 5 truthful.
Melee AOE (scythe) is advised, here is my preset for killing them
- T80+ armour is advised
- Soul split is used when killing truthful shadow creatures w/o needing vamp scrimsaw
- penance aura is amazing
- inventory is aggro overloads (or aggro potions and overloads) no food, and prayer restoring potions (not needed with penance aura), poison +++ potions help kills per hour
Other methods to obtaining hard/elite clues
Prif thieveing - 0-5 of ea clue/hr, 91+ thieveing required.
Prosper perk - best proc rate skill is smithing 0-4 of ea clue/hr - note prosper perk stacks over soft cap of clues
Clue Hub
The clue hub is located just south of the grand exchange and is highly important if you plan on doing clue scrollshttps://runescape.wiki/w/Treasure_Trails_Reward_Shop
Globetrotter outfit
it is advised to buy pieces in the following order
Backpack (swaps a clue step for another) - great if you don't meet a clue requirement or that clue step takes ages
jacket (teleports directly to a step location) - great for hard to get to clues, like neiz scan for example
Leggings/Boots/gloves (any order)
Once full globetrotter is obtained it is advised to buy soft cap boost and then buy Way of the foot-shaped key, after this buy elite clue scrolls with any clue points you obtain as they are much harder to obtain compared to other clue tiers.
Things that improve your clue times
